UNIZIK-AWKA, ANAMBRA STATE, NIGERIA.

The Faculty of Education at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) is organizing her annual National Conference on:

Theme: Education for National Transformation: Institutional Innovations, Challenges & Prospects.

Sub Themes:

* Education for Youth Empowerment & Sustainable Development
• Entrepreneurship, ICT & Vocational Training
• Waste Management & Environmental Sustainability
• National Security & Conflict Resolution
• Literacy, Civic Responsibility & Societal Values

The national conference at UNIZIK shall attract scholars, researchers, teachers and professionals in various fields of Education and related areas to meet, learn, network, collaborate and exchange ideas on areas of national interest.

Date: Wednesday August 1 (Arrival)
Thursday August 2 (Opening Ceremony) - 10am
Friday August 3 (Paper Presentations Cont.)
Saturday August 4 (Closing Ceremony/Departure)

According to the Host, Dean of Faculty of Education, Prof. Sam O.C. Okeke, “This national conference is organized to spotlight the role of education in national transformation and development, and the need for attention to be given to institutional challenges, innovations and prospects which would drive the Nigerian society to greater heights. Participants at the conference would have opportunities for networking and exchange of scholarly ideas on different educational issues, policies and research outcomes needed for sustainable development and transformation of Nigeria. This is part of our support to the national transformation agenda of the federal government of Nigeria. A warm welcome from our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Boniface Egboka is awaiting all our guests and conference participants.”
Presenters and participants are expected from federal, state and private Universities, Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, Research Centres and Institutions, NGOs, Student and Youth Groups, National Orientation Agency, and the general public.
CALL FOR PAPERS
SUBMISSIONS are being ACCEPTED NOW for ABSTRACTS/FULL PAPERS on Different types of presentations in Education and related areas:
Submissions must be research papers, abstracts, student papers, case studies, position papers and reports on issues related to teaching, learning or education with regards to the themes and subthemes, poster presentations; including masters/doctoral degree research sessions, workshop training on effective instruction/writing and panel sessions chaired by renowned scholars.
